Alpha Returns Again

Posted on 27 August 2017

St. Edward's is pleased to welcome our friends in the Alpha program back to the Church for another run this fall. Alpha will start again on September 25 and run every Monday thereafter from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Meals are provided. All are invited and there is no cost for attending.

Alpha is a great opportunity for parishioners to develop their faith and understanding of the Church's teachings. It is an experience unlike any other - parishioners are treated to a delicious meal followed by a presentation on a particular doctrine or topic of interest to the Church. Following this everyone breaks into small groups where deep and thought-provoking conversation helps to cement your understanding of the subject. All are welcome and we look forward to seeing you there!

75th Anniversary Posters

Posted on 25 June 2017

During the reception for the 75th Anniversary there was a presentation available to view along the walls of the Church hall. It is still available to view there, but many people have asked if it could be made available online. Therefore we have created digital versions of the posters, which can be viewed here:

Additionally a new tab has been added to the top of the website for the 75th Anniversary. More information about future 75th Anniversary events, as well as pictures of past 75th Anniversary events, will be available there.

Father Favin Pictures

Posted on 3 June 2017

Father Favin Alemao, former Seminarian at St. Edward's parish, was ordained to the priesthood on Saturday, May 13th and celebrated his first mass the following day on Sunday, May 14th at St. Edward's parish. We are all extremely proud of Favin and grateful for the many joyous moments he spent at our parish during his journey to the priesthood. Pictures of Favin's first mass have been posted on the parish website for viewing.

Best of luck to Father Favin as he takes up his new position as Associate Pastor at St. Michael's Cathedral.

Construction Update

Posted on 3 June 2017

The construction of the parking lot is well underway. All of the old pavement has been removed and all contaminated soil has been removed from the parking lot. New curbs and walkways are being installed before the new pavement is laid down. We would like to thank all parishioners for their patience with the parking lot construction.

As a result of the construction, the parking lot is closed on weekdays until Friday at 4:00 PM. Weekday masses are being said at 7:30 AM in the gymnasium at St. Cyril school, 18 Kempford Blvd. Parishioners are asked to take care when parking in the lot on weekends while the parking lot is under construction, and to consider parking along roadsides near the Church whenever possible to avoid congestion.

More updates will be provided on the status of the parking lot as it progresses.
