Parish History Presentation

The Mass

Father David once again will be offering his course on the Mass, on Monday evenings, for the benefit of those who work during the day or missed it the first time (or who want to come again!).  The series, which began on Monday, March 4th, continues until April 8th, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the parish hall.  All are welcome!


"Who do you say I am?" (Mark 8: 29)

Discover who Jesus is through the eyes of Mark.  Father David will be offering a six-part series in Lent on the Gospel of Mark.  The series, which began on Monday March 4th , will continue on Monday mornings until
April 8th, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the parish hall. (Coffee will be served from 9:00 a.m. 9:30 a.m.)

Lenten Retreat - 2019

Fr. Errol Fernandes Returns to St. Edward's Parish

Fr. Errol Fernandes, Retreat Director from last year (2018), will offer a Lenten Reflection on Thursday, March 21st at 7:00 p.m.  The Sacrament of Reconciliation, with a number of priests present, will follow at 7:30 p.m. (Confessions will also be held earlier in the day from 11:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m.)

Fr. Errol will also offer a Stations of the Cross, with a Lenten Reflection on Friday, March 22nd at 7:30 p.m., following the 7:00 p.m. Mass.

As well, Fr. Errol will offer Mass and a Reflection on Saturday morning, March 23rd at 9:00 a.m.  All are welcome!

Christmas Angel Tree

Christmas in Toronto is a wonderful time of year, but each Christmas leaves some less fortunate children feeling left out. Seeking to correct this, St. Paul's Basilica has hosted the Angel Tree project each year, collecting gifts from parishioners around the Archdiocese and distributing them to those children who would not otherwise receive them. Once again this year parishioners are welcome to participate in the Angel Tree project.

The Angel Tree in our parish will be decorated with Christmas tags that have the name, age and gender of a child on each tag. Please take one or more tags and purchase an appropriate gift for the child. Return the unwrapped gifts to the church and place them under the tree.

The tree will be available this weekend Nov. 28/29, Dec. 5/6, Dec. 12/13 and the gifts will be delivered to St. Paul's after the 11 a.m. Mass - December 13. After this they will be distributed to children around the basilica downtown as well as to less fortunate children within our own parish area.
