"He who sings, prays twice."
-St. Augustine of Hippo
The choir is an excellent opportunity to connect with God in a special way. Through the beautiful medium of song the Music Ministry delights and inspires the congregation. St. Edward's parish is home to several choirs and cantors who sing at different masses. If there is a specific cantor or choir you would like to hear, you are welcome to attend any Mass they will be singing at. A list of masses and the choirs at each is below:
A video of the Gloria sung at masses is available here (required adobe flash player).
It is an absolute thrill to join the music ministry at St. Edward's. I've been singing professionally for almost two decades across Toronto in both churches and choirs such as the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir, the Elora Festival Singers and Tafelmusik. I hold a Degree in Music from the University of Toronto and a Masters Degree in Environmental Studies from York University. I play and teach the piano to both kids and adults. I teach twice a week at St Michaels Choir School. I love playing soccer and chasing after my two and half year old son, Tristan. I'm married - my wife's name is Sheila.
To speak about or thinking about joining the 11:00 a.m. Choir, please come and see me any time. Or email me anytime at email@example.com - Marc
